Don't Be a Lost Sheep or a Money Tree

All new drivers face the same challenge. Either you learn to drive on actual roads by yourself - or be at the mercy of a yet another round of expensive classes or instructors who are trying to make a quick buck. It doesn't help that we're incurring 9% GST now.

Self-taught

You're. All. Alone. If there's no one to guide you, you'll have to get your own car and get it figured out on your own. You never know, one wrong move might cause you to get into a car accident (Touchwood. But we say, better be safe than sorry).

Driving School

Probably one of the better ways to get started, but it can be pricey. Usually it requires a $100++ registration fee before you even begin a lesson, not to mention some schools require you to attend at least 5 lessons. Imagine the cost.

Private instructors

Considering that we're almost like private instructors ourselves, we don't really recommend this option. Private instructors will vary wildly in quality and the good ones are usually fully booked by students going for lessons or driving test. On top of that, you'll also have to pay a hefty enrolment fee.
