What, another car community?
The reason we decided to start the tomo community, other than the fact that we love cars, is that it is our personal experience that many other car groups form around a specific car, or specific model of a car. And those are great. But one challenge is that when you change your ride, you inevitably get removed from that group.
Which, to us, is sad. Sure, you can continue to hang out and be friends with the folks you met in that group, but somehow, it's a bit different. It's a bit... excluded.
There is one other reason, and it might be a bit controversial. Car groups which are specific tend to attract a group of (often awesome) folks that are very similar. Car groups which are open and inclusive tend to attract such a diverse range of folks that it sometimes gets noisy and everything is a little random.
tomo was created to get both of that out of the way. If you're in tomo, you're here no matter what you drive, for as long as you want to be with us. And tomo is meant to be, and will always be, a group that is respectful, mature, and straightforward. It currently is, and we intend to keep it that way.
So, it may or may not be something you're looking for. If, and really only if, it sounds like your cup of tea, we really would love to know you and have you join us.
Cars, not brand.
We're about people who enjoy cars and driving, not about brands of cars.
All cars are beautiful, and they express who we are.
Whether they're stock, modified, or body kitted. Whether they're daily cars, sports cars, or supercars.
When you change your car, you don't change your place in tomo.
A virtual-first community with in-person meetups.
No, we're not talking about having Zoom beer sessions.
We're talking about having the opportunity to connect both online, and in the real world.
Not all of us have the luxury of attending every meet up, or go on every drive. Or maybe we don't want to. Or maybe we're not in Singapore.
But, we can almost certainly keep in touch online.
Good company, mutual respect.
tomo is a community founded on mutual respect. We're about enjoying each other's company, whether that is at an event, over a meal or coffee, or in just doing things together.
After all, we believe that it is the bonding of friends and fellow car enthusiasts that makes great camaderie, and soon, lasting friendships.

No gatekeeping.
We welcome members from all walks of life, at any age, and at any stage of their car journey. Whether you're not driving yet (but you love cars), you drive a simple car, or you own the car of many people's dreams, you're welcome.
To us, it doesn't matter if you're new to cars, or you're a veteran car enthusiast. We grow and learn together.
Because for us, it's not about the car, it's about enjoying it.
